The Sacred Path

“Much is expected of those to whom much has been given” Luke 12:48

I would like to  rephrase this to “those who have been given much will love the gift of  giving”.

Once this idea of giving becomes part of your thinking it is difficult to turn back. The sense of  “I have to give” changes to “I love to give”.Giving fills you with meaning in your life.It weaves through your soul and becomes an essential part of your being. It makes you wonder how you lived before you became the type of person who gives back. I know how I lived. I felt like the stump of a tree. No roots, parched, and without purpose. I am balanced at my way of thinking and realize that giving too much can leave me feeling empty too.

Getting over this hump of “I have to give” to  “I love to give” takes time. Your whole being will shift in a direction that you have never known before. You will feel yourself waking up to someone you have been waiting for your whole life.
It is a lot like having a child. Many wonder how they lived without their children. The meaning they bring is infinite. Similarly, a life of giving brings you purpose. You question why you had not awakened  many years ago. It makes you wonder if you could be this person at an earlier stage in life. Often, this arrival comes through pain and struggle. All of the events in your life add up to this time of a new you. The universe says, ” My child, you finally arrived and  we have been waiting for you”.

The person you now have become understands all your unraveling  was not easy. Often, you have felt like the storms would not end. You long for sun, warm weather, and the warm ocean to cleanse your mind. You want to call your favorite motivational author ask him” why is this happening?”  The author had been through three times as many storms and saw his life in a positive light.  The risks are high while pursuing a path of change but the rewards are rich. Hoping that everything will be perfect creates a sense of fear and guilt when things naturally fall apart.Let them go. The meaning will set in.It may not be the meaning others have about the storms you experienced but your spirit will understand it perfectly. It will be unique to you.  We are all individual creations of spirit and our understanding our life situations is personal and sacred. Forgiveness helps you know that you were doing the best you could do at the time. The recipe for the new you who loves to give includes going through many fires.

The universe is waiting for you to show up to your new way of life. All you have gone through was necessary. Your new, giving way of life will take you to places you never dreamed. You have passed the final exams and are ready for the real world in a new way.  A life on purpose.

Love and light,

Deborah
