I was feeling a loss. The shift in my thinking today was one of confusion. It snowed here in our little town near the beach. The storm covered the southern states. It was a fluke.My daughter was out throwing snowballs with the neighbor kids here in S.C.. It was great to see  them having fun together. I have retired from snowballs because I grew up in Michigan. I was more worried about whether we would have power because so many were losing it in this freezing, snowy weather.

Our plans to go to our spiritual retreat in Myrtle Beach at The Meher Center  were postponed a day.He calls me to come to his”home in the west”. I am not one of his dedicated followers but I do love the many acres of woods at the Meher Center. Simple cabins,  community kitchens, nurturing  conversations with people from all over the U.S. Who could ask for more?. I meet great people who relax, enjoy nature, and feel the peace of the many acres of woods hidden in the midst of Myrtle Beach  restaurants, tourists, and traffic jams. I also love this place because as a child I walked the beach many times while on family vacations. Little did I know that as an adult I would discover the Meher center right next door . I am older and wiser now but the memories are there of the Apache campground  where I camped on the beach with my brothers, sister, mom and dad.I remember the beach went on forever, but I would not venture beyond a certain point where the hotels stopped.This was the area I would return to for spiritual renewal as an adult.  It was private and secluded woody area-Meher BaBa’s home in the west. I know my dad loves this place too. As I wake in the morning at the Meher Center I can hear my dad  saying he walked the beach here in the morning while we were still asleep in our camper.I see his spirit in this early hour while the sun is coming up.It is as if there is no time. Dad is walking the beach.

I feel my father guiding me now and showing me how he still loves this beach.  I believe my dad is a lot like Patrick Swayze in the movie Ghost. He guides me and helps me with my life. Often, I act like Demi Moore in the movie being skeptical, yet it is too powerful too ignore. The words I hear are soft from him and usually one or two words at a time.However, I know it is my dad who guides me. I received affirmation today when the movie “Ghost” came on.

My mother told me a few years back it was one of his favorites. I didn’t know this and it is one of my favorites too. I  understand Whoopi when she was skeptical at first about Patrick, yet eventually learns to trust him. Often I feel compelled to tell my mother things and assist her even though she is  stubborn.I know my dad wants us to “help and care for your mom” because he left us so suddenly with heart failure 12 years ago. He said in a letter “take care of your mom”. I feel like I take leap after leap in the dark.  I know there are others out there who experience these spirits who have crossed over because I hear your stories.I have become a magnet for spirits and others who encounter them.If you still feel skeptical read any of Allison Dubois books from the show “Medium”. Her experiences with the spirit world are more detailed and surprising.
