"Fire from Heaven"
True imagination is not fanciful daydreaming; it is fire from heaven. -Ernest Holmes
I was contemplating this quote today by Ernest Holmes because I saw it twice and experienced my own flame last night.
I had a feeling with the long weekend that some kind of renewal would take place.
Free time to contemplate and grow. I knew that I was feeling the fire for a reason.
With the MLK holiday yesterday I decided to meet with my girlfriend and my daughter came along with us to have fun on a day off.
I thought some shift might happen as we were practicing “the art of allowing”. We wandered downtown and to Starbucks to sit out in the warm air. It was a beautiful day to do this.
After our relaxing afternoon my daughter and I had some feelings surface between the two of us. As a single parent with a health problem we have had many mountains to climb. I think this doubt that surfaced had to do with both of us and our dance in life. She has been patient and wonderful, yet sometimes the obstacles we encounter in our life are one too many .The desire for “more” mixed with “want” crops up like an unwelcome virus. I look for signs and and follow hunches, ideas, and direction from my inner guidance. Prayer is a daily experience for me. It is a fine line and a balancing act to keep your hopes and dreams in place-especially being a single mother. Practicing simplicity is easy for me but for a teenager that is another story. Fortunately, she has her 35mm camera as a way to follow her bliss and get out of herself.I am grateful for the class she took at school where she discovered photography and the teachers who nurture that. She loves her camera. It increases her faith and makes her feel confident. It brings her joy.
In life, I have learned to live with the idea that we are abundant in whatever situation we are in.
As I am excavating this new life with my readings to help others, I believe I am working with the fire in my heart-the dream I have and how to make it blossom. These flames surface as the dream unfolds.
The dance of our dreams seems to be a little bit of a rumba back and forth, then a side step. When you’ve danced too much and possibly at your limit, you lose balance and fall.On the other hand if there is something coming to the surface to be healed and understood, this can also make you lose perspective. You may experience a shedding of the old to allow the new to enter just by being alive and aware.
Which dream on your cosmic stove is simmering or boiling over? For someone like me falling down the rabbit hole was normal-the artists way. My favorite quote by an artist is “If I knew where I was going I would be lost.”
Although we may try to plan our dreams a flame will surface and reveal something new to you.Your plans will be adjusted. Your dance will include a new sidestep. The best prescription I can suggest for you is to keep things light like the angels do.You will align with your bliss more quickly.
As your dreams take shape, hopefully the sidesteps and the rumbas will expand and be easier to handle. Better yet the rabbit holes will be fewer and far between. Your vision will be clearer and you will have the strength to begin your next goal and understand the process. The important part is to keep your faith and believe.
Love and light ,
Deborah
